Lord Mayor hosts club taster session

Sochin Karate Club staged a karate taster session hosted by the Lord Mayor of Canterbury.

The session was held at Tower House in the beautiful Westgate Gardens of Canterbury to promote the free and subsidised places the club has available through its This Girl Can campaign. Sochin Karate Club has been given a grant by Active Kent and Medway to encourage more women to take up the sport.

This is not the first time Cllr Keji Moses has supported the club. In the last civic year she visited when in the post of Sheriff of Canterbury.

Sochin Karate Club is based at Kendal Hall, Nunnery Fields, Canterbury and provide a Zen-based form of the sport focusing on fitness, biomechanics, self-defence and building confidence and mental resilience.
