National association’s Vice Chair visits Canterbury club
John Parnell, Sensei 7th Dan delivered a fantastic training session at Sochin Karate Club. Focusing on karate basics, this masterclass provided the all-grades group with challenges no matter if they were black belts or ungraded. Sensei John is Vice Chair of Shotokan Connect, the national association to which Sochin Karate Club belongs.
Sochin Karate Club trains Monday and Thursday evenings from 7pm to 8.30pm at EKC Canterbury College, New Dover Road, Canterbury. A further 30min of training is provided for senior grades until 9pm.
Whether you are returning to the sport or new to Karate, you will find a warm welcome at this Canterbury club.
The next Karate masterclass to be provided by a visiting instructor will be Sensei Neil Jerome, 6th Dan, from Norway on 22 June.
The club offers discounted training fees to staff and students at EKC Canterbury College and a further discount is available to women and teenage girls thanks to grant support from Active Kent and Medway with the aim of encouraging more women to take up the support.
